Let Them Grow Up

I have been asked lots of times how I and my Pro-Staff get nice deer. First of all they are just nice deer, but we do get nice deer every year.

First thing we do is lots of scouting from a distance. We do not go into our farms unless it's the day we hunt. We scout from a hill far away. The day we hunt we take our stands in and hang them. We use strap on Sticks and strap on Stands. They are very quiet.

90% of the time we will harvest a deer the first night in the treestand. We do hunt other farms with stands in place year round. We will only hunt from one treestand for 2 days and then let it rest for at least a week. I know that some folks might not have that opportunity to move around like that but if anything just move to the other side of the farm and let the other side rest for a few days.

The most important thing to do is let the little guys grow up. You can't shoot 170's if you shoot 150's all the time. My son is only 15 years old and he let 3 180's walk right by him last year because he knew they were still young deer. If he can do it we can too.

We take a lot of pride in our calls and scents and let them do the work for us. Just be patient and don't get in a hurry.

The picture is some of our bucks we have harvested. Hope you like the TIP and Pictures.

That's right. You can't shoot

That's right. You can't shoot the big boys if you are always shooting the little boys.
