Hunters wanting to participate in the November 25 - 27 antlerless deer season should make plans and get their licenses soon. As of Nov. 16, nearly half of all the counties have reached their antlerless license quota. Most of the remaining counties have quite a few licenses available, but licenses can go quickly.

The November antlerless season is not statewide, but rather is set by county as an inducement to get hunters to the counties with higher than desired deer numbers and to offer them three days to harvest an antlerless deer. It is based on the quota of antlerless deer licenses by county. There were 36 counties that sold out before Nov. 12. Since Nov. 12, nine more counties have sold their quota of antlerless deer licenses, and other counties are close.

To see what counties are currently available in real time number go to, click on Licensing, then on Current Availability of Limited Quota Deer and Turkey Licenses. In the counties that have reached its quota, only landowners who have not reached their limit of antlerless licenses may purchase a license for the November antlerless season.
