Deer hunters are reminded that the late antlerless season begins in December this year, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. The season runs Dec. 26-Jan. 18, 2011.

The season is open only to hunting antlerless deer by firearm permit hunters with youth, landowner and Season Choice Area permits. It is not open to hunters with unfilled statewide archery, statewide muzzleloader, restricted statewide buck, whitetail statewide buck, or November firearm permits.

Archery equipment is legal on youth, landowner or Season Choice Area permits in the late antlerless season.
