Michigan DNR Discusses Shiawassee Flats DMU

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service jointly invite public participation at a meeting to discuss the 2007 deer hunting regulations for the Shiawassee Flats Deer Management Unit, which is DMU 173.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, March 12, at the Green Point Environmental Learning Center, located at 3010 Maple Street in Saginaw.

Staff from Shiawassee River State Game Area and Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge will present proposed hunt periods and antlerless quotas for the 2007 season. Results of the winter aerial count survey and drawing procedure also will be discussed.

Individuals attending this meeting are requested to refrain from using heavily scented personal care products in order to enhance accessibility for everyone.
