The Colorado Division of Wildlife will hold a big game information meeting in Kremmling, March 6 at 7 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Colorado State University Cooperative Extension Office located on the Kremmling fairgrounds.

The meeting will be an opportunity for interested people to learn more about Middle Park deer, elk and pronghorn management. Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) representatives will also discuss where the current populations of these species are relative to population objectives.

Tom Pojar, big game researcher for the DOW, will give a presentation on summer mule deer fawn survival and the Middle Park Pronghorn Range Expansion Project. Andy Holland, terrestrial biologist for the DOW, will present data from the Middle Park Mule Deer Survival Study and discuss local big game population sizes. The results of the 2002 chronic wasting disease testing and the impact of those results on deer and elk management in the area will also be discussed. Those who attend will also have the opportunity to ask questions to DOW representatives.
