Who owns Mossy Oak camo?

Hey Guys,

Does anyone know if Toxey Haas still owns Mossy Oak?

Any educated guesses as to company worth?

One of my buddy's friends said that he didn't think the camo industry is very big. He said that Mossy Oak is now owned by Russell Athletics and they bought it for somewhere between 12 and 24 million.

I just assume that Mossy Oak is much bigger than that.

I wonder if I am totally off base???

who owns mossy oak

Toxic Haas still owns Mossy Oak. The dollar amount you mentioned is cose to correct on worth. The camo business is a very niche business owned almost completly by Mossy Oak and Realtree. Their revenue primarily is derived from fabric royalties from their converteers. Schott International produces MossY Oak and Eastbank Trading produces Realtree. Each gets royalties from 1.00 to 1.50 per yard of fabric produced depending upon the contractual agreements between Realtree (Bill Jorday) and Toxic Haas (Mossy Oak). Other contractual agreements for many products are negotiated with performance clauses therein and are quite lucrative. The camo industry is very latigious with both primary companies using legal suits to inhibit competition and claiming copyright infringement to justify it. This entire industry is the real "underbelly" of the American Free Enterprise System and is in direct violation of the Sherman Anti-Trust act which prohibits predatory litigation for the restraint of trade, however since it is a very small industry the Fed. Gov. does not get involved. A typical example of two "good old boys" who present themselves as outdoorsman and whose goal is to keep feeding their insatisable egos.
