For whatever reason the Western Canada region hasn't been as active as some of the other regions. I'm sure it is just a matter of time for more folks from your region to learn about us.
There are some nice folks from Eastern Canada that get involved quite regularly. Your certainly more than welcome to join in.
However you were asking about carp, which is a board first. Not that fishing isn't welcome, but if the past is any indicator most people want to talk big game hunting here.
Welcome to the board!

Hey man - how's it going? I grew up near Nipawin but now live in Halifax. I'm a little out of the hunting loop back home - but I'll talk to you...as long as you don't rat me out when I've been slinging BS - LOL
Thanks Mod!I have spread the word about this forum on other forums so I hope this helps a bit!I was asking for carp as bow hunting carp is a popular past time in SASK and I am sure it is all over N.America.See ya!Rick.
Hi SASKIE!You must be on the forum right now!
I am full of the BS myself so we should get along fine!LOL!!

Whereabouts do you live? I had no idea there was carp fishing back home. I fish up the Hanson Lk road every year when I'm home (pike/walleye/brookies)
There are carp through out the qu'appelle river system and last mountain lake.Just a case of finding where you can shoot them if you bow hunt/fish for them!
I can't offer you much help with that. I lived at Indian Head for a year and all I can suggest about the Qu'Appelle River is around the Ft Qu'Appelle/Katepwa the river was quite narrow and appeared easily accesible. Also there are (were) some low bridges over it - if you could find a grid road off the highway that crossed the river you might have some luck.
Have you thought about trying suckers? I just thought I'd throw that out there because they'll be running soon and when they do it will be a bow fishing dream. Most all the creeks and rivers up north of PA have excellent runs. Try the Torch River - it's phenomenal when the run is on.
The runs only last week-10 days so timing is critical. The SERM offices in Nipawin/Narrow Hills/Candle Lake should know if they're running.
Just dropped in 2 say Hi. Suckers + pike are running(swimming) in the swan river at this time. Bank 2 bank fins sticking out of the water.
Oh bow hunting carp, I had not thought about that. Sounds interesting. Good Luck!
Well I know i am 3 years late but heck why not adding life to this forum .
soon going to hunt elk in alberta so stay tune
