Welcome team #1 members. Let's kick this thing into gear and get it going. We need to pick a captain and choose some names then vote on them. I will volunteer for captain. If some one else wants to be captain that is fine with me as well. I will throw out a couple of names: Death From Above, Rack Addicts, Stick String Assassins. I don't see anything wrong
I don't see anything wrong with having my son on my team. We put in our time just as much as the next guy does. We hunt private property, hang our own stands, do our scouting, hang our own camera's, hunt free range, fair chase!!!! It seems I feel a little jealousy coming our way. Death from above is fine with me, sounds like alpine hunter wont be joining the contest. I am not for sure what happen last year but he isn't to happy with it.
Hopefully everyone in the contest knocks down a big one this year just not as big as the ones we are going to knock down.

I'm not saying you guys don't put in your time what i am saying is your team has an unfair advantage from the get go though. The teams arn't really randomized as much when you know 2/3 people in team one.
I'll be passing on this years contest sorry guys.
Too clear it up nothing really happned last year. We picked small teams and half the people who signed up never even posted anything. Therefor most teams wer eleft with one person. I think for it to be fair your son needs to go into the random drawing as well. I'd rather just enjoy my hunting season and post pics and stories after the season and not make it a contest So I'll be sitting out.

Ya I feel the same way! I had the understanding the there was a draw for the teams not picking your team then every one else hand picked to how you see fit. If its all for fun you should have just picked them at random, you could of had a friendly contest with your son making it even more fun for the family. I could see the possibility of more people dropping out, make it fun and on the up and up!
I like the looks of my team but you went about it the wrong way.

Alpine, I'm sorry this upset you. I wish you wouldn't quit your team though. I didn't think a contest just for fun, nothing at stake, would be such a sticking point to someone. After all we just come on here to have some fun. Even without a contest we all razz each other on here a little bit. Please don't quit let's all enjoy this and have a good time.

I'm going to be checking the camera's either Thursday or Friday. Hopefully I will be posting up some nice pics of some big boys. I will also be putting up my last set on either Thursday or Friday as well. I have a really good feeling about this area. It should be a good one.
