The "Switch Witch"

It might be a little late for you east coasters, but something we do to limit the amount of cansdy our kids get is have a "Switch Witch".  We let them pick out a certain amount of candy, then the rest gets left on the doorstep, where a toy mysteriously appears in the morning.  Give it a try, they love it.

That sounds like a good idea.

That sounds like a good idea. I'll have to try it next year. let me ask. what do you do with the rest of the candy? we let our kids take a certain amount then we keep the rest for later in the year and give it out as treats or eat some when the sweet tooth stricks.

After a few select pieces for

After a few select pieces for myself Big smile , I bring the rest of it in and just throw it on the table at work.  It's usually gone that day, or at the very least, before I get back the next day.  Free food of any type doesn't last very long around here.... lol

I know how that goes. A girl

I know how that goes. A girl brought in a ton of these "dirt cups" (chocolate pudding with oreas and gummy worms) to one of my classes today and told us all to have some. I ate four of them and have a giant stomach ache. Milk was a bad choice!lol

So what you are suggesting is

So what you are suggesting is that parents lie to their children...scam them out of their hard earned candy and promote some myth about a switch witch?  Why, why that's is friggin' brilliant:thumbsup1: Applause

That is a really good idea and sounds like fun.  I bet the kids get very excited about it too.  My daughter hides her candy from me.  I might have to try your idea.
