Please don't pity me....

I have recently became interested in the hunting world and for this do not pity me. I have been looking around and asking questions on what kind of firearm would be best suited for someone in my situation. I want to be able to hunt deer and am just not sure what to get or look at....any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I'm new here too. I do know a thing or two about rifles. Perhaps if you answered some questions, folks might be better able to respond?

1) What kind of game will you hunt?
2) How much do you want to spend?
3) What firearms experience do you have?
4) Any caliber or style you've always admired? Mauser? 30-06?

Just curious as to what rifle you selected and how things are going with hunting deer?
