Planned hunt

Planning on an afternoon hunt today, taking advantage of the white woods we've got from our recent snow. Tennessee gun is still open and I happen to still have two buck tags left, so I'll give it an afternoon sit and see what happens. We have a nice strip of river bottom land we hunt that has one stand with long views, so the .270 WSM will be dusted off for this afternoon's trip.

I hope that some of you experiencing snow now and in the next day or so have an opportunity to get to the woods. I have always enjoyed being in the woods during or just after a snowfall! If you do get to go out, best of luck!  Thumbs up

I'm debating a hunt this

I'm debating a hunt this afternoon. We have about 7" on the ground now and it's still snowing lightly.
The problem is going to be getting to my hunting lease. I called a friend near where we hunt and he said they had at least a foot of snow on the ground. He hasn't been out on the roads so he couldn't tell me if the roads had been scraped at all.
If I can get to our cabin, then I can start hunting/tracking deer out the back door. I would like to get out and track a deer in the snow. I have only had a couple of hunts in the snow so anytime I can get out to hunt in the snow, it's a bonus.
Ah right, I'll get my stuff together. Hopefully I won't spend the night in the truck. Hahaha.

Sure wish we'd get the

Sure wish we'd get the snow,gotta beat that wind we had yesterday.Wind gustin up to 30 to 40 mph,and yes i still went out,call me dummy.Figure you ant gonna see nut'n sit'n in recliner,i did get my first cowyote though.She came out bout 125 yard's away,introduced her to my ol Rem 270. Hey BackPacker,i'll be head'n up Macon way thursday.I no your in NC but did that snow make it that far south and will it still be there?...

It was windy as heck the other day too! After less than 1 hr my cheeks were numb ::help1   I stuck it out and found out where the deer weren't! lol
