Well here's the scoop..me and my family bought 20 acres of land in Orange County Virginia which is 30 miles away from Fredericksburg..
On the twenty acres me and my dad picked out a great spot!
Lemme explain it:
My stand is set up in between pine thickets and the hard woods with oaks, and other sorts of trees, so when they come out or into their bedding areas there i am and down they go
my back is to the pine thickets and i am facing the hard woods, i am 100 yards max from our drain field where in the future we might put a pond there, and the drain field is about 20 yards away from the house, anyway, 15 yards infront of my stand there is a old tree that fell over and there is a hole where the tree was uprooted, in that hole we put a mineral block and covered it with deer cocaine, 15 yards off to my left is another oak (which is the same tree my stand is on) which has corn spread out around the tree, and then 10 yards off to my right there is a old log that is rotted and it is covered with deer molasses.
I had gathered some acorns for my spot, and i was wondering:
Should I:
A- Drop the acorns from my stand directly underneath my stand or toss them a few yards out?
B- Take the bucket that they are in and set it on the ground full of the acorns and let the deer eat the acorns from the bucket?
C- Spread the acorns out by tossing them before i get in the stand?
or
D- Make a big pile of the acorns by dumping the bucket of acorns in one spot?
So i need your help with that, answer A,B,C, or D and explain why..
Thanks for any comments, suggestions or answers
God bless 8)
