My new and 1st hunting rifle. (Pics)

I just bought a new Remington 700 XCR in .270 cal. It has a Leupold VXIII 3.5-10X40mm with the Boone and Crockett reticle. So far I've put 24 rounds through it and I'm extremely pleased with it's performance. Will be using for mule deer and elk in eastern Washington this year. Big smile

Thanks bnow0707. I had been using my brother-in-laws Springfield 1903 for a number of years before I got this one. This is my 40th birthday present from my wife. Very happy with her and the gun!

I'm glad to see you gave it the respect it deserves by putting a great scope on it. I know you will enjoy the rifle. Happy hunting.

I don't think it's all that "fancy" but I really do like how it looks and performs. Couldn't be happier. Big smile

Thanks rambo. Yes it is the extreme conditions rifle (XCR) I think the only difference between an XCR and a regular stainless steel model is the trinyte corrosion system and the stock. I waited a long time to get this rifle but it was worth the wait. Thumbs up
