My first bear!!

I got a nice sow 2nd to last day. 250#'s 12 years old. How did everyone else do?

Did you get your bear in unit 20?

How do you bear hunt? since we can't use bait here in Colorado, do use calls?

I've been wanting to try for bear (I'm in northwest Colorado) but I'm not sure how successful I would be. I very rarely see bear or bear sign when I'm out in the woods.

My first time bear hunting

Here is a pic of my first bear taken with a bow. It dressed at 420lbs after a day of hanging. Close to 500lbs alive. Shot in Wis. Waiting for the drying period to make the books. Skull measured close to 21".

My first bear!!

I have a lot of bears where I hunt. I set up on a trail that had a bunch of berries and water. I am going to try calling next time i get a tag also.
Are you in this neck of the woods?
