I drew a tag for region D and am not very familiar with the area so I am looking for any info as far as where or hunt. I have ordered the BLM maps and know that Medicine Bow National forest is in the region. How rugged is the terrain? What size deer shopuld I expect to see? If conditions are mild will the deer be down in the valleys or still high up? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've not hunted by Saratoga before but have heard that deer hunting in that area is good. If you are looking for a guide, I have a good friend who has outfitted in that area for along time and I can get you his name, if you are interested.
