Man, the news is not good.
I will be getting there on Thursday, that is the only really cool day... with lows in the mid 20's.
The other days, through Monday have highs in the mid to upper 60's with lows in the upper 30's and low 40's.
That is NOT what I expected when I planned this series of trips - but I will have to make the best of it...
Now... if the deer will just cooperate.
Hunting and fishing, not killing and catching... I know, I know....
Well, I have always said that even if the weather is not ideal, the deer have to move sometime. It may not be where you want, when you want, or in the right area, but they do eventually have to move. You won't be able to shoot them staying on the couch, right?

Nope, the couch will not get it done.
The weather forecast for this week - late - is only slightly better than last week's...
Highs in the mid 60's and lows in the mid to low 40's.
That is brutally hot for that area and that time of the year, I think.
Yes, they have to move but my fear is they will limit the movement to an absolute minimum - which will definitively reduce sightings - and thus, harvest opportunities.
But, it is what it is and I already paid for the permits, etc... so I am going and I will do the best I can!!
My hope is the rut, in spite of the weather, will spur some movement and if I can be properly positioned, I can take advantage of it.
I will make some updates via the BB so that some of you - if you are so inclined - can share in my misery or my joy - come what may.
