Idaho Spring Bear and Turkey Applications

Yeah, I think I'll put in for Spring Bear, 8001, Bait and dogs prohibited, Apr 1- May 22. This is Idaho Units 22 and 31 ... Council, Weiser areas. I will probably be hunting at the very end of the season. Anyone with any suggestions, tips, etc.? I am new to bear hunting but I am somewhat familiar with the area overall. Would like to hunt the southern Seven Devils and Boulder Mtn area. Maybe the breaks on over into the Snake Riv.

if you can't use baits, no need in hunting bears................just a ripoff for a license fee.

I hear you, I think, ... but you need to understand my primary motive is to get up into the country. It's a fabulous piece of ground. The application fee is $6.50, and the tag is not a whole lot more. Pretty inexpensive license to get up in there with my fav rifle and away from the rest of civilization. Gas will be many times more. I think you can see where I'm going with this ...

BUT!!! ... if I happen to get one ... what should I do with the meat? ... sausage???
