I don't know if that road is still open. Sorry to hear about your Dad. That area will always have a special place in your heart, with the memories of you and your Dad hunting together. I don't think the Elk changed their migration route over the blowdowns, it tends not to affect them like it does us.

Jeff - Try hunting the burn area of 2001 off Seedhouse. Hole in the wall area. Saw many deer. Four with upwards of 26+ inches. Good luck. By the way, I took a beautiful 5X5 east of Clark.

Were elk as low as the '01 burn area? Weather's been so warm and dry.... and I've been praying for a change before 3rd season.

the elk were at 9200. It was warm and dry while there. They were tucked away in the timber. The bull I took was heading to his bedding area. The 02 burn area yes. Not sure of the 01 burn.
