Hi everybody. I'm new to the forum here and have hunted unit 70 in Colorado between Rico and Stoner for three years now and haven't had much luck with elk or the terrian there. I'm 56 years old and the ruggedness is more than I care for. I still would like to hunt unit 70 and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on areas that has easier terrian to hunt with good numbers of elk. I have 3 preference points and will be muzzleloading this fall. I appreciate any info or suggestions. Thanks.

I have hunted 70, 71 and 711, spent about 5 years there, unless there was a lot of snow in the high country, it was pretty much a waist of time, i don't plan on going back there again, there are better places to go.

With 3 points you can draw
With 3 points you can draw many quality MZ elk hunts, especially if you're a resident.
