I had read in the hunting and trapping guide that the reason for this is because over the past 10 years roughly 10% of all the deer taken where in archery season, so they are hoping that doing this will help bring more numbers to that season, it also gives an advantage to those who can't use a bow very well like myself. I personally hunt only during the muzzleloader and gun season, but if it is legal and gives hunters more of an advantage, go for it!!!

Personally, I hate the idea. It takes away the sport of archery hunting.

Alabama legalized the same change before last season. I think that it brought alot more hunters into the archery side of things.
