Some California residents were trying to challenge how the authorities hand out concealed carry permits, saying that it's our constitutional right to do so. Anyway, the judge ruled against them, so for now, they were defeated.

Being that I'm not a businessman that carries large sums of cash, it appears that my life is worth less than such.
I don't know about anyone else but that sounds sort of unequal to me. "Equal protection under the law" comes to mind here. This is just another example of unequal access to the law and it's protection in my eyes.
Thankfully federal law overrides state law and I have carried in CA, and will again.

Yeah, I missed this too. Unless you are an open carry person, or are in the protected class of law enforcement who can carry concealed, then you may not carry in California, at least legally.
That sucks but seeing that it is California it does not surprise me at all. They will give millions of illegal’s free stuff but when it comes to upholding the Second Amendment they want to crush our rights. Not sure what part of "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." don't they understand?
Totally agree AFHunter, I don't mind helping folks out but it has gotten way out of hand. The pursuit of happiness does not mean tax payers should pay for someone else’s happiness. OK off the soap box before I get too wound up.
