Colorado DOW "Insider" Emails

Hey Folks,

I recently learned you can sign up for "insider" emails from the Colorado DOW website.

These emails are supposed to help keep you abreast of current happenings in CO, hunting updates, etc.

Pasted below is the first one I have received - it just happens to be about poaching...

This seems like a great (free) way to help yourself in the know about the outdoors scene in Colorado.

If you think you might be interested - sign up!

GUNNISON, Colo. -- The Colorado Division of Wildlife is seeking information about a large six-point bull elk that was illegally shot in Saguache County sometime between Dec. 20 and Dec. 23.
The elk was alive when the DOW received a report about it. The animal had been shot and had to be put down.
"This animal endured incredible suffering," said Brandon Diamond, terrestrial biologist for the DOW in Gunnison.
The animal was spotted by a Colorado Department of Transportation work crew on Dec. 23 on Colorado Highway 114, at mile marker 23 near the south end of the Cochetopa Canyon.
The Division is asking members of the public who may know something about this incident to call the Gunnison DOW office at (970) 641-7060, or Operation Game Thief at 1-877-COLO-OGT (265-6648). Tips can be made anonymously.
If a tip leads to a conviction, the reporting party could receive a reward.

Yes that is a great tool they

Yes that is a great tool they have there.  I love having them sent to my phone.  Get alot of good information from them and you can get it sometimes quicker than gets up on theie website.  I also like the fact that they will send out alot reminder before the apllication deadline approches.  I also have gotten alot durning the big game season especially about all that is going on and things to watch out for.  Definetly worth signing up for if you hunt in Colorado or plan to someday!
