centerfire muzzleloading test

I posted earlier this year on the new smokeless centerfire muzzleloader made by Centerfire muzzloading. The topic actually got out of hand for which I applogize to all. I stated earlier that when I got a chance to test the muzzleloader I would post results. I finally was able to go out with the company owner John on one of his testing days to help test this muzzleloader. I now have my actual test results to tell. I do not have the actual print out of the results but I did take several mental notes to share. The cartridge we were using has a custom star crimp so it can not be reloaded for safety reasons. On a bench I personally shot a 1/4" group at 100 yards with his test gun that has been fired over 1000 times now. The recoil went from 60 ft lbs of pressure with a magnum blackpowder load to 15 ft lbs with their breech plug and cartridge load. I was using a 300 grain TC .50 cal shockwave and producing a constant 2090 ft per sec. I dont have the specific barrel pressure readings he had but they were lower than the balckpowder test we ran. I didn't want him to see me writing stuff down so I only took mental notes. I don't want to give inaccurate information here so I wont give a round about result. All in all it was a great experience for me. If you are ever in his area I am sure he would be happy to let anyone test fire the muzzleloader. I live a short distance from John so I finally got the chance to drop in on his invite.
