BUck and Badger finally home

Well it took 2 years but my Idaho buck and badger are finally home. Was a long time to wait but they sure look good. Now to get each a Santa Hat for Christmas.

Badger????? I don't remember

Badger????? I don't remember nothing about a badger.......

It's always nice to welcome home a mount that you haven't seen in a long time.

This last weekend I was showing my video's of my hunts in Africa along with all the photos that I edited and it makes me want to see my animals even sooner than whenever I get them.

Yes it was a long wait to get

Yes it was a long wait to get the critters back but knew it would be due to some health and family issues with my taxidermist. Those issues are now over but he is still pretty back logged. I bet I looked at photos every  2 weeks or at least monthly from the time I shot him until he came home. What I didn't recall was how big and tall he really is, hands on sure is better than a Photo.  Sure is a good feeling now to look up at him each day.  The badger was incidental to the deer hunt. We had already packed up and where headed home when we saw him and figured why not give it a try. As you can see the try was successful. Always wanted a full badger mount so was in the right place at the right time for a change.

I know what you mean on the

I know what you mean on the badger.  I have shot two of them in my lifetime.  I should of kept the first one but a friend really wanted the hide so I gave it to him and he did nothing with it.  I asked him a couple of years later about it and he said that it started to stink so he threw  it away.  I could of clubbed him.

The second one I stuck to the ground with a arrow at 10'.  He spun around that arrow a dozen times before he quit and I was able to get another into him to finish him off.  My ex wife now has that hide, at least I hope that she still has it.

I have tried to get a few

I have tried to get a few others in the past and it never worked out so glad this one did. Ex-wife with your old pelt does not sound good and I think I would have clubbed your friend too who wasted that other hide.

Until they fix the site you

Until they fix the site you have to host the photos on another site and then link to them in your post.

I have given up on contacting anyone to fix it since all I was getting was the "well, I'll notify the person in charge"
