I was at my local shop, shooting on there techno hunt. And signed up for there winter league. It sounds like fun, it goes for 8 weeks, we go in once a week for a 25 arrow shoot and they track our points and they will give out prizes for first and second place. it past leagues they have giving out bows and arrow sets so it sounds like they do a good job with it. I figured it would be fun and keep me sharp during the off season. Do any of you shoot in leagues or competions? How many of you have shot on a techo hunt? For those of you that dont know what a techo hunt is, At my shop. its a 20 yrd set up, its a projector screen with a ton of sensors, they play actual game footage(all game animal from around the world). you have to wait for the clean shot and shot. when the arrow hits the screen it puts a dot and arrow where you hit the animal and scores it. the heart is a bullseye=10 points, the vitals(lungs, liver and such)=5-9points, and the body=0-4 points. When i did my last shoot I did 15 mins of deer and 15 mins of elk and 15 mins of bear. with 22 arrows per round i scored, deer-185, elk-194, bear-178.
