We are looking for hunting articles
contributed from the big game hunting community. Because
of the many regions and game types that encompass the
realm of big game hunting, we accept articles from a
variety of sources. We welcome pieces from experienced
and aspiring outdoor writers.
Compensation is based on your experience,
the quality of the piece, and if photos are being submitted
with the manuscript. You must hold all copyrights
for the content you submit!
Please submit your article in electronic
format via email (we prefer email), floppy disk, or
CD-ROM. While we review manuscripts on any big game
hunting subject, we are currently seeking articles on
the following topics:
- Firearm Selection: Caliber and Cartridge Selection
for Specific Game
- General Hunting Tips and Advice
- Fall Turkey Hunting
- Alligator Hunting
- Javelina
- Free Ranging Exotics: Texas and/or New Mexico
- Op/Ed Pieces on Current Hunting Issues
We typically start reviewing articles in mid-winter
(December & January), and schedule for publication
up to a year in advance. To review what has already
been published on BGH, please visit our featured
hunting articles index page.
Generally we do not accept articles that are simply
a hunting story. We lean heavily towards educational
and "how to" types of articles. If you have
a story to submit to BGH, we welcome them in our hunting
photos and tall tales section. Note that BGH does
not compensate for stories in this section.
