Profile of earthsis

i am not a hunter but come from a hunting family and do enjoy wild game...i also like having "critter parts" aka skulls, bones, wings,feathers and now skins....last winter i found a road killed grey fox and put it back in the woods to later retrieve the skull...but i realized the skull was crushed...i looked up skinning on youtube...and decided to try.....;-D should have seen my hubbys face when he saw what i was watching and then when went back out with
knives..
i did it mostly wrong... cut the tail on the spiral...then caught it on fire when i smoked it... but it hanging up...
anyway i now have several skins under my belt that make good wall hangings and am trying hard to get them to blanket quality....really want a coyote blanket now...have done 4 coyotes...am working on my first deer...all roadkills..
i do them more or less in indian fashion....salting...using scraping stones..WOW..they work great too...!!...brain tanning..and smoking them...i like cedar so use it...
am always interested in anything i can learn... !
