Spray Down Again Once You Get to Your Stand

Most deer hunters will spray everything down just before they walk to their stand. There's just one problem with that; most people will sweat a little and that's gonna leave behind scent that you don't want that mature buck smelling. My dad and I started this after we kept saying for a few years that we wished we didn't sweat while going to our stands and a little after you climb up and get set up.

We got the idea to buy 2 extra smaller bottles of scent eliminator, and take them with us to our stands so we could spray down again after getting to our stand. I believe this greatly improved our odds at shooting more deer and seeing more deer while we were hunting. Most hunters I talk to say they only spray down before they go, and just didn't think to spray down again after they got to their stand.

The few hunters that did try it say they've also had the chance to shoot more deer and see more deer while they're hunting. If you don't already do this; give it a try and see if it helps you see and shoot more deer.

It's a really good thing to

It's a really good thing to do. Even when it's cold I'll usually start to sweat a little after I made my way to my stand. So i'll just spray down again with my little spray bottle. Thanks for the input guys. I think if you don't do this and start; you'll have more success with being as scent free as possible.

great tip. Hunting down here

great tip. Hunting down here in the south sweating is a huge problem. I tend to spray everything down a few times during the hunt. I keep a smaller bottle in my pocket also.

Yep. Even when it's cold most

Yep. Even when it's cold most people will sweat a little when walking to their stand, and that puts that human scent you don't want in the air for deer to smell. Some people gotta walk far to their stand and when you have all your camo on and carrying your bow or gun; it just makes you hotter and you'll sweat and put the scent in the air. So spray down before and after you get to your stand, and I'm sure your odds will improve.
