Calculate the Amount of Sunlight Left
Here is a tip on how to calculate the amount of sunlight left. If you you hold your arm straight out in front of you and hold your 4 fingers in a line with you top index finger at the bottom of the sun and your pinkie to the ground each width of your hand will represent about 45 minutes of sun light left in the day!
Depending on the size of your hand it will always work out very close.

I use this technique almost daily. I don't carry a watch anymore at all. It's a great tool to have. Though my hands are bigger then most so I guess 4 fingers is 1 hour lol.
