Janet's First Buck
Janet Zimmerman
This is a photo of my first buck, a 6 point, taken after 14 years of hunting. He was killed in Perry County, PA with a Marlin 30/30 rifle with open sites at about 65 yards. Needless to say, I was VERY excited!!!
10 Point Michigan Whitetail Buck
Steve Kerby
Shot this 10 point, 18 inch inside spread in Alger, Michigan, Arenac County. Taken on the first day of gun season, November 15th, 2003, at 10:00am, came in following a line of Tinks 69 that I put out that morning.
First Africa Hunting Trip
George Gonzalez
My largest trophy was an enormous Cape Eland, measuring in at 37", it qualified for Rowland Ward and SCI record books. Looking for a 33" or better Eland, I had no idea how large they grow in these parts. The crazy thing is my PH told me that there are bigger Eland if I want to pass this one up. He really said that!
Michigan Buck
Joe Reed
Joe Reed shot this buck in Dowagiac Michigan November 16, 2004 with a 12 gauge.
Georgia 9 Point Buck
Bobby Tilley
Bobby Tilley harvested this nice 9 point buck on 10/30/04 in Bryan County Georgia. It weighed in at 170 lbs.
California Cinnamon Bear
Charlene Wright
My first bear hunt was a total rush. I am a 34 year old woman and this is the first year in about 8 years that I have purchased a Hunting License. I have two small children and have put hunting on the back burner. This year I said enough and headed out with my husband for the day. Just off Highway 50 in Eldorado County, I found a piece of heaven. It was about 12:30 p.m. on a sunny fall day November 10, 2007. This is where I shot my first bear. A male Cinnamon Black Bear.
Ohio Albino Buck
Maurice A. King III
He was a 100-percent pure white albino buck. The very first thing I noticed was his stunning pink eyes. They looked like the eyes of someone who had real bad allergies. Then I looked at his pure white body. His coat was perfect and not a mark on it. He wasn’t very big, only about 180 pounds. The last thing I noticed was his rack. It was not impressive at all. At first I thought it was a balanced 6-point rack but after further examination I realized it was only a 5-point. But the rack did not matter because this was the most unusual animal I had ever seen.
Northern Minnesota Deer
Blake Torkelson
Blake Torkelson shot this 8-point buck on Sunday, November 4th, 2007, opening weekend in northern Minnesota. The buck walked out of the woods about 500 yards away and chased 4 does into another wooded area.
Alberta Whitetail Hunt
Ken Laninga
This particular Whitetail buck was taken on my own land in November 2001, by me, Ken Laninga, in Alberta, Canada.
Once in a Lifetime
Dwayne Roth
On November 16th, while tracking a smaller buck in Ripley County, Indiana I took this 14 point, 220 lb (field dressed) buck. This is a once in a life time buck. I'm very pleased with this one.
