This is the first year that I have hunted. The third weekend of bow season in North Carolina, and I had not seen anything so far this season. 30 minutes after sunrise I heard something coming from behind me, so I stand up in my stand. It was an eight point buck. I watched it for around 15 minutes before I got a chance to make a good shot. Beginners luck!

When a deer is approaching you and your in your stand or on the ground, typically a hunter will do what is instinctive to do, which is look at the deer.
