A Pair of Vermont 8 Point Bucks

My father and I were both in our stands early in November. It was warm all season and when the cold snap hit the rut must have been hot. After a few hours I could not believe my eyes, a great 8 pointer, I was so excited. After harvesting the deer I could not wait to tell my dad.

As I got back to the house, here comes my dad. Before I could tell him the news, he had what looked like the same deer in his truck. Was I seeing double?

As it turned out, the bucks must have been brothers because both racks were identical I'll let the picture speak for itself. Unreal.

Attracting Bucks During the Rut
I have a system I use in Whitetail hunting during the rut that seems to work for me. When I make a mock scrape in the area I wish to hunt I will place a couple of 35mm film canisters (film removed of course) in the scrape after I have cleared out all leaves and other debris.
