Wyoming Fall Turkey and Preference Point Application
Wyoming Game and Fish

Posted on: 07/25/07 [Comments?]

Hunters are alerted they can now apply for western Wyoming's early season sandhill crane permits, limited quota fall turkey licenses and preference points.

Applications for sandhill crane permits must be received at the Game and Fish Department's Cheyenne office by July 31 and fall turkey licenses must be received by Aug. 15. Preference point only applications - moose and bighorn sheep residents and elk, deer antelope, moose and bighorn sheep nonresidents - must be received by Sept. 30.

Unlike big game applications, residents and nonresidents can apply for early crane permits together as a party. The maximum party size is two. The permits are free, but waterfowl licensing regulations apply.

Resident ($13) and nonresident ($61) license drawings are separate for fall turkey. Hunters can apply for area 4 (Goshen and eastern Platte County) or area 8 (eastern Laramie County). All other open areas are general license and can be purchased over the counter through the end of the season.

Applications and regulations for both species will be available from Game and Fish offices, license agents or by calling (800) 842-1934 or (307) 777-4600 out of state.

Minnesota Twin Albino Deer
These twin albino deer have been coming to my backyard feeder since they were fawns in 2006. They turned 2 years old this spring and still come to my feeder every day! I'm an avid deer hunter and harvesting albino deer in Minnesota is legal.
