Have you ever wanted to learn a new skill but have never had the opportunity to try? Or, have you wanted to take up an outdoor sport but were afraid to purchase all the equipment and then find out later that you hated it? Then the WV Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (WV BOW) Program is definitely for you! The WV Division of Natural Resources announces that the Spring Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Workshop at Pipestem State Park will be April 20-22, 2007. Women who are at least 18 years old can learn a new outdoor skill in a safe, non-threatening atmosphere.
In the spring's WV BOW schedule, approximately 30 classes are being offered. They include biking, shooting, fishing, photography, camping, rappelling, horseback riding, bird identification, fly tying and outdoor cooking. Registration is now open with a fee of $130, which covers lodging, some meals, and class materials during the workshop.
