Vermont Moose Hunters Must Wait Three Years
Vermont Fish and Wildlife Dept.

Posted on: 07/18/08 [Comments?]

The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department announced a clarification in its moose hunting regulation for 2008.

The Fish & Wildlife Board passed a regulation prohibiting anyone who has held a Vermont moose hunting permit in any of the previous three years from applying for a permit or bonus point in the current year. This now includes people who held a Vermont moose hunting permit they obtained in Vermont's moose permit auction.

Vermont's fourth annual auction for moose hunting permits is open for bids until July 28. Five permits will be auctioned. Proceeds from the moose hunting permit auction will help fund Fish and Wildlife educational programs.

To receive a 2008 Moose permit bid kit, contact the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department, 103 South Main Street, Waterbury, VT 05651-0501. Telephone 802-241-3700 or email fwinformation@state.vt.us.

My No School Today Buck
My name is Brian Roberts, this is a story about a great evening hunt with my dad. My dad has taken me hunting since I was 4 yrs old. We had an old wool army blanket that mom sewed into a bag that I would get down in and help keep me warm while up in the treestands.
