Northern Quebec Outfitter Under Investigation

James Bay Adventures Incorporated (JBA) of Northern Quebec Canada has come under investigation by the Quebec Provincial Police after as many as 40 hunters have complained of unacceptable service. Currently there are at least 50 hunters that have formally complained to the Quebec Outfitters Association (QOA) of mis-booked hunts. The nature and number of complaints caused the QOA board to revoke JBA's membership in December of 2002.

John Bardahl of Swift Current Saskatchewan is a member of a group organizing legal action against JBA. In the summer of 2002, John and his group of ten hunters booked a hunt for the fall of 2002. However as the fall approached, John's hunting group was told the hunt they had booked and paid for would be rolled to a future date. According to John's group, evidence is mounting that JBA serviced none of its hunts booked in 2002 and serviced as little as half of the hunts booked in 2001.

Several attempts were made by BigGameHunt.net to obtain comments from JBA regarding this article. Contact by email failed and voice messages were not returned.

How to Lose a Good Hunting Stand
A few months ago a good friend of mine moved to San Antonio and I was eyeing that Remington Youth 243 he was about to pack up. I really wanted it to start taking my 9 year old son Zach hunting so we made a deal on the gun. He has been tagging along with me a few years to food plot stands and we have seen a few deer over the years.
