Pennsylvania Game Commission officials announced that the Friends of the National Rifle Association application deadline for its upcoming Pennsylvania Youth Education Summit (YES) in Harrisburg is fast approaching. Pennsylvania high school sophomores and juniors have until March 26, to sign up for the event, which is set for April 3-7.

Pennsylvania YES provides youth attendees with an opportunity to gain a hands-on education of the history of Pennsylvania and the democratic process. The program is designed help youth develop: an awareness and desire to participate in Pennsylvania government; an appreciation and knowledge of the history and unique heritage of Pennsylvania; an understanding of volunteer networks and how young citizens can serve their communities; and an understanding of the history, mission and programs of the NRA.

Friends of the NRA banquet proceeds cover nearly all costs for those youth attending Pennsylvania YES.

First Time Deer Hunt in Saskatchewan
It was the morning of Nov 24, 2007. Having discussed the night before that Coralee would have first shooting rights if we saw anything we liked, we set out for what would be one exciting morning that would carry out to the day I'm writing this. As we set out in the morning there was a light fog hovering in the air. We went out to one of my favorite spots north of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.
