Antlerless Deer Season Dates Set 04/07/06
“Essentially the dates will remain the same as last year, with only minor calendar adjustments,” said Alan Peoples, wildlife chief for the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. “However, we did make one small change. After hearing from hunters in southeast Oklahoma (zone 10) we have moved the antlerless deer day in the middle of the regular gun season to a Saturday, rather than Sunday.” [Comments?]
Statewide Deer Harvest Could Top 100,000 03/29/06
Preliminary harvest figures indicate a near record-breaking season. Through the end of the deer gun season, hunters harvested 89,409 deer, the second highest preliminary harvest recorded since the record harvest of 2000. Once figures from the second half of archery season, controlled hunts and other hunts are tallied, the final 2005 harvest could exceed 100,000. [Comments?]

Georgia Alligator Hunting Adventure
My desire to seek adventures different or "out of the ordinary" took me to a secluded place far at the southern corner of the State of Georgia. It was there, time seemingly stood still. As we drove downhill toward our destination, a peace or calming was ever present. The woes of my daily life and the head aches of works were forgotten. The Marina was a throw back to a life style from my childhood.
