Caesar Creek Lake A Regional Visitor Center for the Corps of Engineers is located at the dam. There is also a reconstructed pioneer village on the project. Caesar Creek Lake is located in Southwest Ohio and is situated in a geologic region known for Ordovician Age fossil collecting. The lake was completed by the US Army Corps of Engineers in 1978.
Capt Anthony Meldahl Locks And Dam Captain Anthony Meldahl Locks & Dam is located at mile marker 436 on the Ohio River. It creates a 95 mile navigational pool between Meldahl Locks & Dam and Greenup Locks & Dam. Meldahl is an integral link in the Ohio River navigational system. Tours of the facilities can be scheduled. The site offers fishing, picnic and restroom facilities (open from April to October), an observation tower, and wildlife viewing. Pets are allowed. The pool between Meldahl Locks & Dam and Greenup Locks & Dam has a number of recreation areas on lands leased from the Corps. There are boat launching, picnic facilities, snacks, and camping at White Oak (mile 424 in Higginsport, Ohio). Other areas are at: Eagle Creek (mile 416 in Ripley, Ohio); Ohio Brush Creek (mile 388); Augusta, Kentucky; and, Manchester, Ohio. Cedar Point NWR Cedar Point NWR was donated to the Service in 1964 and is closed to all other public use except fishing from June to August. The Refuge's 2,450 acres are primarily marsh. A dike system with its associated electric pumps, isolates the marsh from the adjacent Lake Erie and divides the Refuge into three pools. All pools are predominantly cattail, bulrush, and other emergent vegetation. The Refuge provides habitat for migrating waterfowl and other marsh and water birds. Up to 70 percent of the Mississippi Flyway population of black ducks can be found in the Lake Erie marshes during the fall migration.

Clarence J Brown Dam And Reservoir The 2,100-acre C. J. Brown Dam and Reservoir and a Corps-operated Visitor Center are located in central Ohio between the urban areas of Columbus and Dayton is home to two rare and unique prairie fens. The lake was completed by the Corps of Engineers in 1974.
Clendening Lake The Corps' Clendening Lake has been retained in a natural setting with no commercial development except the marina. Recreation facilities are operated by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District. Visit their website at: www.mwcdlakes.com.
