Preparing For The Taxidermist
A mounted trophy is the tangible reminder of a memorable hunt. It's there to be admired on long winter evenings and its there to provide the strength to carry on when the course of events are temporarily rocky. When I look up at any of my mounted trophies, I rarely see the individual animal; rather, I recall the events of the hunt, the people and the places, the exhilaration and the excitement.

Permit Required to Import Canadian Hunter-Harvested Game Meat 08/08/03
Hunters can immediately begin bringing wild ruminant meat products intended for their personal use into the United States, but will need a “Veterinary Services Special Permit for the Importation of Hunter-Harvested Wild Ruminant Meat,” along with one of the following: a valid Canadian export certificate for game meat, or a copy of a valid hunting license or a valid hunting tag. This is Sami-jo Brawn of Sangerville Maine with her first deer. The deer was shot in Sangerville Maine, on the Maine youth day hunt. She was hunting with her grandfarther. Sami is 10 years old.
