Nova Scotia Offers Crossbow Course Oct. 26th
Nova Scotia Dept. of Natural Resources

Posted on: 10/13/08 [Comments?]

The Bowhunter Instructor Association of Nova Scotia is offering a bow course on Sunday, Oct. 26, at the Department of Natural Resources Training Centre in Shubenacadie.

The course is for vertical bow hunters and anyone wishing to hunt with a crossbow this fall.

An application form is in the 2008 Hunting Regulation Summary Booklet, and on the department's website at gov.ns.ca/natr/hunt/bowhunt.htm .

Pre-registration is required by sending the completed application form and a $40 fee. If student demand is high, additional courses will be offered on the same date, but at different venues.

For those who are bow- and hunter-certified and want to hunt with a cross bow, a manual called Today's Crossbow and a safety tips sheet are available at the department's field offices. Crossbow safety tips and frequently asked questions are available at gov.ns.ca/natr/hunt/bowhunt.htm .
