Camp Lake NWR

Description:
Camp Lake NWR is an easement refuge located in prairie pothole country in McLean County. The "Camp Lake unit" includes crop, hayland and open water. The "Strawberry Lake unit" consists of heavily grazed native prairie and a recreational lake totally surrounded by summer homes, boat docks and out buildings. Water skiing, swimming, boating, fishing and other recreation are not subject to easement restrictions.

Directions:
Camp Lake Easement NWR is located 8 miles west and 5 miles south of Butte, North Dakota. Refuge information is available at Audubon NWR headquarters located 2.5 miles north of Coleharbor, North Dakota, just off Highway 83.
