Established in 1961 as breeding grounds for migratory birds and other wildlife the district is currently comprised of twenty-seven (27) Waterfowl Production Areas totaling 6,133 acres across Foster and Eddy counties in east-central North Dakota. Distric

Directions:
Service managed lands within the district are scattered across Eddy and Foster Counties in east central North Dakota. A brochure is available that includes a map showing the location of individual units within the district.District headquarters are located at Arrowwood Refuge, 5.5 miles east of Edmunds, North Dakota. From Jamestown travel north on Highway 281 approximately 27 miles to Edmunds. Turn east and travel 5.5 miles on Stutsman County 44 to the HQ road. Turn north and travel 0.7 mile to the office/headquarters.
