The NJ Hunter Education Study Guide is a supplemental aid used in conjunction with the Hunter Education DVD/Video and Hunter Education Work Book to complete the NJ Hunter Education home-study course. It is available for downloading and printing in PDF format in its entirety or by section.

The Hunter Education Workbook is a separate booklet and must be completed prior to attending the field session and exam and is required for admission to the session. The Hunter Education DVD/Video can be picked up at participating license agents and vendors, for a complete list of vendors visit: http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/hntedagt.htm.

North Carolina Archery Deer
This is the first year that I have hunted. The third weekend of bow season in North Carolina, and I had not seen anything so far this season. 30 minutes after sunrise I heard something coming from behind me, so I stand up in my stand. It was an eight point buck. I watched it for around 15 minutes before I got a chance to make a good shot. Beginners luck!
