If you're looking for some fun and a chance to learn about New Hampshire's amazing wildlife and outdoor opportunities, head over to New Hampshire Fish and Game headquarters on Hazen Drive in Concord for Discover WILD New Hampshire Day this Saturday, April 21. Admission is free.

This event is fun for all ages. Be prepared to try hands-on activities, from archery and casting to finding your way with a map and compass. Conservation and outdoor groups from throughout the state will have displays set up, and special presentations and walks go on throughout the day. The festivities go on from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food concession is available mid-day.

New York Turkey Hunt
I harvested this gobbler on May 6, 2008 at 5:45 in the morning. My partner and I walked across an open field to get set up long before sunrise, but the bird started gobbling at 5:20. Go set up with B-mobile strutting tom decoy and she mobile hen decoy. We were literally set up in some brush just sitting on our knees (no big trees) when we heard the bird fly down and start triple gobbling to the light yelps and purrs I gave him.
