Summer is a Great Time for Nebraska Hunter Ed Courses
Nebraska Game and Parks Commission

Posted on: 06/24/09 [Comments?]

Summer is an excellent time to fulfill a hunter education requirement, and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has a number of courses scheduled.

While hunter education is required for some hunters, it is open to anyone who wants to learn about the safe, responsible handling of firearms and bowhunter equipment.

Many classes are scheduled in Lincoln, including a firearm class Aug. 11-13. Bowhunter classes are set for June 24-26 and 27; July 12, 17, 18, and 19; and a field day will be available for students who complete the bowhunter independent study course. All of these newly scheduled classes will be held at the Commission's Hunter Education Office, 4817 N. 56th St., Ste. 1.

Visit OutdoorNebraska.org for a schedule of hunter education courses.

Successful Muley Archery Hunt
My husband and I always take the first two weeks of archery season off work, so we can get the upper hand on the animals. This year however, Darren had to work out of state the first week, so he didn?t even get to hunt, and I ventured out on my own. We had been getting a lot of promising pictures on the game camera, but none came in while I was there that I wanted.
