Hunters looking to extend their season or enhance the challenge of deer hunting should plan to attend a free muzzleloader deer hunting workshop from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27 at the Nebraska Game and Parks Commissions hunter education office at 4817 N. 56th St., in Lincoln.

Workshop attendees will explore the world of black powder as Commission personnel discuss the excitement and rewards of muzzleloader hunting for deer, which is becoming more popular each year.

The workshop will cover a variety of topics, including muzzleloader equipment, hunting strategies, deer biology, and the muzzleloader season. Those planning to attend must register by calling (402) 471-6144. Space is limited.

Manitoba Deer Hunt
It was the first day of the 2007 rifle season in beautiful Manitoba, Canada. I was out hunting all archery season and was unable to successfully fill my tag with any sort of deer, buck or doe. So naturally I was raring to go when rifle season hit.
