The application period when Nebraska residents may apply for November firearm deer season "draw" unit permits (DeSoto December Muzzleloader and Republican), will begin at 1 p.m. CST, April 21. One application is allowed per person.

From April 21 - May 2, all applications must be made online at www.OutdoorNebraska.org or received by mail or over the counter at the Commission’s Lincoln office.

Beginning at 1 p.m. CST, June 9 through the close of the season, residents and nonresidents may purchase "buy" unit and any other remaining firearm, youth, season choice, archery or muzzleloader permits.

Rut Crazy Bucks
It was one of those perfect brisk November evenings in the deer woods. This day the autumn woods were full of deer activity. The bucks sure seem to be at the peek of their rut. As always I was perched high in my stand and waiting for that dream of a lifetime buck to come along. I was pumped and ready for some action.
