The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission will meet in Kalispell July 17 to consider final upland game bird seasons and to discuss cutthroat trout conservation in the South Fork of the Flathead River drainage in northwestern Montana.

At the meeting—set for 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Red Lion Inn, 20 North Main—the commission will also consider 2008 early-season migratory bird regulations, elk-plan objective adjustments, elk-harvest quotas in hunting districts 204, 261, and 270, game-damage permits for 2008-2009, an urban deer management plan for Ekalaka, and exotic wildlife classification requests. In addition, the commission will take final action on three fishing access site proposals.

Following the completion of the agenda, the public may bring additional items to the FWP Commission's attention. FWP ensures its meetings are fully accessible to those with a disability. Individuals with special needs may request arrangements by contacting FWP at 406-444-3186.

Successful Muley Archery Hunt
My husband and I always take the first two weeks of archery season off work, so we can get the upper hand on the animals. This year however, Darren had to work out of state the first week, so he didn?t even get to hunt, and I ventured out on my own. We had been getting a lot of promising pictures on the game camera, but none came in while I was there that I wanted.
