There are special restrictions and requirements to participate
in alligator hunting opportunities in Mississippi.
Please carefully read all regulations prior
to submitting any application available here.
The alligator hunting season is separated into
two categories; public waters
and private lands.
The public waters season
is restricted to the Pearl River north of Hwy
43 and south of the Coal Bluff State Park boat
ramp. Applications must be submitted electronically,
through any license dealer who sells MS hunting/fishing
licenses. There is a non-refundable $5.00 application
fee.
The private lands season
is restricted to Hinds, Madison, and Rankin
counties. Hunters must receive permission from
a landowner who owns at least ten (10) contiguous
acres. Completed applications must be submitted
by mail or delivered to the central office in
Jackson. Applications may be printed from this
website and are available at any MDWFP District
Office or the Jackson Office. There is a non-refundable
$5.00 application fee.
The deadline for applications is August
1, 2006. No applications will be accepted prior
